Father's Amazing Protection

“You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.” Selah Psalm 32:7
“And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.” Psalm 27:6

We began preparing for our next trip during the last few weeks of April.  Charley changed the oil in the car and I went about the house gathering items to pack. The Lord gave us direction to go to Kansas City May 3-8 for the college graduation of the young man who is to marry our goddaughter and for their wedding. Father gave us very special visits with some of the family and then we had many divine opportunities to speak life into many of their friends.  It was an exciting weekend! We love keeping Father’s appointments and watching Him do His miraculous work.  All we have to do is be obedient to speak what He tells us and see how the Holy Spirit works in people’s lives. The graduation was so special! It was the culmination of much prayer, study and perseverance.  Much healing has taken place in this young man’s life and his focus is on Jesus.  The wedding was absolutely beautiful!  Not just the decorations and planning, but it honored the Lord and included so many of the couple’s friends as attendants and in the audience. The couple had asked us to pray a blessing over them during the ceremony. Our time with them was precious and as we held hands on the stage, our hearts were rejoicing in this union brought about by the Lord and we knew that His healing had happened in both of their lives.  Our God heals and restores!! So glad He does! After some wonderful times of sharing with the couple and seeing them joined together in the Lord, we headed home.

We were home only a couple weeks when Father sent us to Northern Colorado.  This trip was from May 18-June 1.  We hadn’t a clue all that the Lord had planned.  So often now He gives us part of the journey and then tells us as we go.  I often think this happens as we are obedient then Father reveals more of His plans.  We have to take the first step.  We arrived safely on May 19 in Northern Colorado. We see the hand of the Lord in our surroundings, it is lovely, weather is so good and our time of ministry intense and so covered by Father. The enemy tried to take us out again on both trips while driving. In Kansas City we were following some people in downtown and were almost hit by a bus and another car.  Only Father’s angels protected us.  Then on the Colorado trip a driver came into our lane to pass an 18 wheeler but did not have the room to pass safely.  About 500 feet in front of us he moved to our shoulder and he passed us going about 70 miles an hour on our right, the semi passed us on the left and we threaded the needle between them.  Father told Charley to stay the course so he just held on to the wheel and praised the Lord for His protection. We know that we are following Father's direction on this trip. We have a team of prayer warriors covering us as we minister whether at home or on the road. We had the awesome privilege to spend time at a pregnancy resource center encouraging and loving on the staff.  Father gave us a message, a word, for each one of them.  We spent some very special time with dear friends and then on May 30, we headed home. The weather was good and our time together sharing so sweet.  Father gave Charley a neat divine appointment in Childress.  We stopped for a rest stop at Wal-Mart and he met a young man named William.  William is a Wal-Mart greeter who is in a wheelchair.  Charley introduced himself, shook William's hand and they began talking about our travels and about Jesus.  It was obvious that William knows Jesus and it was such a blessed visit.  Charley thanked William for being there to greet and help people.

We love to keep Father's appointments and we look forward to each day whether at home or on the road for those divine encounters.  We were protected on this trip in a mighty way, met many new people and had the blessing of spending time with family and dear friends.  The Lord is working in each life and we got to speak life into each person we met. The love of Jesus and His message goes on and on and on. We look forward to our next trip.  We do not know when that will be.  Since our arrival home, we are experiencing some attack of the enemy. It usually happens that we encounter this attack as the enemy wants to tear down what Father did in the lives of many people. We stand against any attack he brings in the name of Jesus our Savior and Lord!! We have the Victory!
