His Eye Is On Us

Dear Prayer Partners,

This has been a very busy month. So much has happened and we are so thankful that the Lord knows all that is going on in our lives and gives us His Word to keep us still and trusting in Him. Going through my mind are the words, ‘His eye is on the sparrow and I know He loves me’. That is so comforting right now. Father has given us many to hold, love, encourage, exhort (hold accountable) and help with preparing for each new day. That is an awesome responsibility and we very well know it. That is why we stay on our face before the Lord and seek His face daily. We want only to be used by Him for His good work! My mom’s health deteriorated during July. A little over a week ago she went home to be with Jesus. Her service was awesome and many friends and family came to celebrate her life. She lived many productive years and only in the last few was she unable to do the things she had done all her life. She remained always happy and with a beautiful smile and a thank you for coming to see her. We rejoice in her home going but are saddened at her absence with us. As we reflect on her life this scripture comes to mind along with the words I mentioned above.

Matthew 6:25-34
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life; what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toll nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

We have so much that Father has told us about the days ahead and the work He has for us to do. We choose to rest in Him and trust Him. We choose to speak Proverbs 3:5-6 every morning and allow the Lord to direct our steps. We choose to know that Jesus is Lord and that He will lead and guide us into His truth and His purposes and plans.

We love and appreciate each one of you. Thank you for your prayers, support and love! May the joy of the Lord be your strength today!
