October is Pastor Appreciation Month

Dear Pastor,
We cannot miss an opportunity to send a word of love and encouragement to all the pastors Father has brought to us for prayer and blessing. We knew when we first met you that Father had joined us together for the work of His ministry. What an awesome God we serve! Right now you cannot read the paper or hear the news without someone mentioning something that has happened with a church or a pastor. Most of what you read is not good news. Father has placed us in a role like Barnabas who was called a man of encouragement. We seek daily to lay each one of you at the throne of God and to release you for Father’s work to be done in you. We know from His Word that He has called and anointed you to preach the “good news” of the gospel to every person that is in your sphere of influence. He has shown us over these past 7 years of Christ’s Kingdom Ministries the impact each of us has on the people we know or who see us daily. We will either have a positive or a negative impact for the Lord on each person we meet. We know that our children watch us to see how we are going to deal with the issues of life but the reality of other people watching us for the same reason only hit home a few years ago. We will either speak words of life or words of death over people. We choose to only speak words of life. When you share the Word of the Lord with your congregation or those whose lives you touch in ministry, you will speak life into that person and you pray they will respond with life pouring out of them. Some will hear and choose to continue their walk away from Jesus but some will hear and receive that word and their life will be changed by the Holy Spirit of God.

Pastor, be encouraged today with Proverbs 3:5-6:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.”
Also may you be encouraged from the Word concerning your responsibilities as a pastor:
“So when they had appointed elders in every church, and prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord in whom they had believed.” Acts:14:23
“This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?), not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.”
1 Timothy 3:1-7

Pastor, receive the blessing we send today that you are being prayed for daily through this ministry, we love you, and we will not be weary in well doing to support and encourage you with our love and prayers. The role you have in this society today is to be that light shining in the darkness for all to see Jesus. Be salt and be light dear friend and know that as Father’s appointed instruments of love and encouragement, we will be holding up your hands, arms and covering your back till our Lord comes to receive us unto Himself.

In the service of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Charley & Karen
